Rooted in a developmental psychopathology framework, my research interests focus on family relationships and the processes underlying children’s social and emotional development within the context of the family. My current work explores relations between various forms of marital conflict and conflict resolution, and children’s well-being and risk for psychopathology. Of particular interest to me are the influence of constructive and positive elements of family life and relationships, the role of fathers in marriages and child development, cross-cultural concerns, and innovative methodologies and quantitative techniques for family research.
