A scholarship fund has been established to honor the memory of Dr. Wright, called the Dr. Tom Wright Scholarship Fund.  Contributions should be made out to CUA, with a note that it is for the Wright Scholarship, and can be sent to Office of Advancement, CUA, Washington DC  20064.

Graduate Student Awards

Congratulations to Michele Schottenbauer! Michele, a current Ph.D. student in clinical psychology, has been selected to receive the APA Society of Clinical Psychology (Division 12) Excellence in Research student award at the 2006 annual APA convention in New Orleans for her dissertation: Expert Therapists and Practicing Clinicians - Reported Prototypical Treatments of Trauma.

Congratulations to Alicia Santana! Alicia, a current Ph.D. student in clinical psychology, has been awarded an APA Minority Fellowship. The fellowship's overall objective is to support the training of promising researchers in the area of health disparities research. The award provides financial support, professional development activities and professional guidance to students pursuing doctoral degress in psychology.

Congratulations to Marian Tanofsky-Kraff! Marian, who received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from CUA in 2003, has been awarded the Annual Early Career Investigator Best Paper Award from the Academy of Eating Disorders for her article: Tanofsky-Kraff, M., Faden, D., Yanovski, S.Z., Wilfley, D.E., & Yanovski, J.A. (2005). The perceived onset of dieting and loss of control eating behaviors in overweight children. International Journal of Eating Disorders, 38, 112-122.
