Broadly, my research explores methods of improving performance on cognitive tasks. Within that area, my first focus is on finding effective ways to practice cognitive tasks. My second focus is on cognitive rehabilitation, particularly for people with multiple sclerosis. My research in this area examines strategies for improving prospective memory, the ability to remember to do tasks that we have planned for the future (for example, remembering to meet a friend for coffee). I teach several undergraduate and graduate courses, including classes on neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation, as well as on statistics
